Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing

You are informed that our firm processes personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of pre-contractual measures or the contract when the processing aims to:
    • Produce, manage, and monitor client files;
    • Debt collection.
  • Legitimate interest pursued by the firm when the processing aims to:
    • Prospecting and client engagement;
    • Managing relationships with clients and prospects;
    • Organizing, registering, and inviting participants to firm events.
  • Compliance with legal and regulatory obligations when the processing aims to:
    • Prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and combat corruption;
    • Billing;
    • Accounting.

The data collected is necessary for the execution of this contract and may also be required for compliance with a legal obligation to which the data controller is subject or for the firm’s legitimate interest in traceability, certification, and quality assurance of its services.

Failure to provide this data would prevent our firm from processing your requests, particularly regarding admissibility rules, limitation periods, mandatory mentions under penalty of inadmissibility, etc., as well as all judicial or administrative procedural rules requiring knowledge of personal data.

Failure to provide such data would compel us to discontinue the mission entrusted to us.

Data Retention

Personal data is stored by our subcontractor, LEXISNEXIS SA, whose privacy policy is available at: https://www.lexisnexis.fr/politique-confidentialite

Data is retained for the duration necessary to fulfill the contractual service, and this retention period may be extended to comply with legal obligations.

For evidentiary purposes, data may also be archived for five years following the end of the mandate or contractual relationship before being permanently deleted.

Recipients

Personal data may only be accessed by individuals authorized due to their duties.

Lawyer case files can only be disclosed to individuals authorized to access them, particularly in accordance with specific legislative provisions and subject to professional secrecy obligations.

As such, personal data is intended for the authorized departments within our firm, and, for certain data strictly necessary to fulfill their respective duties, for our subcontractors (IT or accounting). Where applicable, and strictly within the framework of adversarial proceedings, data may also be shared with various stakeholders directly involved in your procedure, relevant administrative authorities, or private third parties designated by you.

Rights of Data Subjects

Under the conditions provided by law and regulations, you have the right to request access, rectification, or erasure of your personal data, to restrict processing concerning you, to object to processing, and to exercise your right to data portability.

No Profiling

The personal data collected by our firm is not subject to any automated decision-making, including profiling. It is not sold to third parties.
