Cookie Notice

Our website www.acd.fr uses cookies and/or other tracking technologies under the terms specified below in this “Tracking Policy.”

1. Definitions of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

The term “cookies” refers to a small file stored by a server on your device (computer, phone, tablet, etc.) and associated with a web domain (i.e., in most cases, all pages of the same website). This file is automatically sent back during subsequent interactions with the same domain.

Examples include:

  • HTTP cookies
  • “Flash” cookies

Other tracking technologies may also be used. These include:

  • the result of calculating a unique fingerprint of your device in the case of “fingerprinting” (calculating a unique device identifier based on elements of its configuration for tracking purposes)
  • web beacons or “web bugs,”
  • access to device information via APIs (LocalStorage, IndexedDB, GPS access, etc.),
  • any other identifier generated by software or an operating system (serial number, MAC address, unique device identifier (IDFV)), or any set of data used to calculate a unique device fingerprint (for example, via a “fingerprinting” method).

For the purposes of this Policy, we will use the term “Trackers” to refer interchangeably to cookies and any other tracking technologies placed and/or read when you visit our website, regardless of the type of device you use: computer, smartphone, or tablet connected to the internet.

These Trackers have multiple uses, including, in particular:

  • tracking your browsing activity for statistical purposes;
  • enabling the customization of the user interface (choice of display language or service layout);
  • enabling authentication for a service, including measures to ensure the security of the authentication mechanism, for example by limiting automated or unexpected access attempts

2. Prior Consent

Your prior consent is required for the use of certain trackers.

When you visit our website for the first time, and we intend to place a Tracker on your device:

  • You are notified via an information banner at the bottom of the page that appears; and
  • You are invited to either accept, decline, or configure your preferences regarding the use of these trackers

Since your consent must be given through an unambiguous action, any action other than one that explicitly indicates acceptance (for example, closing the consent banner) is considered a refusal.

Some of these trackers are exempt from the consent requirement when they meet the exemption criteria set forth in CNIL Decision No. 2020-091 of September 17, 2020, §§ 50 and 51: CNIL Decision No. 2020-091 of September 17, 2020, §§ 50 and 51
